There are many opportunities to learn the art of glass fusing at the Gallery. Classes have been designed to meet the needs and wants of all those of varying interests and skill levels. The gallery also offers individualized attention and instruction. Another option is designing your own custom class. Just invite 3 or more friends to join you and the options are endless.

about the instructor

Alice Benvie Gebhart is an experienced artist and certified art educator. Her experience includes art teacher for Cranston, Rhode Island School District at the elementary and high school levels 1990-2012. Alice taught in the Rhode Island School of Design summer program and worked with RISD student art teachers in the MAT program. She is an adjunct faculty member at Rhode Island College in the art education department. Alice holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Art Education and a Master’s of Education degree as well. In 1998, the Rhode Island Art Education Association awarded her Art Educator of the year.

Alice Benvie Gebhart is owner of Heritage Gallery and works as a professional fused glass artist at the gallery’s studio location. She has been featured as visiting fused glass instructor in San Antonio, Texas and Brooklyn, New York. Her fused glass artwork is sold in galleries across the United States.
