Diptych Tree Landscape in Glass May 3, 4, 5, 6,
In this 4-day intensive workshop, students will step through the process of taking a photo or sketch from idea to completion. We will review copyright and photo enhancement as a starting point of an idea. Students will learn to create a successful composition through color, balance, and space and how to convey ambiance through encouraging viewers to “look into” the work by layering glass elements. Through a series of color scheme test tiles, you will gain the know-how to complete a wooded landscape diptych panel with texture and detail using glass frits, sheet glass, enamels and gold. You will use cold working equipment to finish off your pieces and as an extra bonus: quench some frit!
At the completion of this workshop, students will have two large landscape panels, three color scheme test tiles and the knowledge and skills to represent a landscape image in glass.
Friday-Monday May 3,4,5,6 from 10:00am-4:00 pm
Workshop fee: $550.00 with materials fee of $185.00 due on first day of class
